All commissioned articles for Projek Pertiwi are carefully curated, covering specific content, and uphold the highest standards of quality. We prefer our stories to have a clear sense of narrative, compelling arguments and—especially in articles regarding national security—a connection to the Malaysian public.

It will help you to better understand what we stand for at Projek Pertiwi. Each submission will require you to provide us with your name and email, your resume, a short biography of yourself, and the pitch for your submission.
The Content We Look For
There are a wide variety of ways that you can help contribute ideas to Projek Pertiwi. Anything ranging from a short opinion article of 800 to 1000 words, medium-sized articles of 1200 to 1500 words, and longer articles and policy-centered articles at around 1800 to 2000 words. We ask though that contributors stick to topics in defence and security.
We recognize that some topics may be cross-cutting with other fields and policy spaces. These are also worthwhile submissions and we’d be more than happy to consider them. If you are unsure about whether or not your submission is of the suitable length and substance, feel free to ask us by email for clarifications!
In order to ensure all submissions uphold our standards of quality, please read these guidelines for some guidance on how to write your submission. As a general rule, please observe grammatical accuracy, avoid excessive jargonism, and include citations and hyperlinks to sources as much as possible. If something is unclear, please feel free to email the editors for further clarification. Projek Pertiwi is staunchly against any form of plagiarism and intellectual property theft, and will not tolerate stolen work.

Projek Pertiwi has a specific code of conduct based on our values. Please understand what our organization stands for and ensure that your submissions are in line with our values. Submissions that do not adhere to these ethical and content standards will be rejected.
